About This Course
You are invited to the only Deepening Through Belly Dance program of 2025, designed to explore and experience belly dance not as a performance art but as a somatic approach (integrating body, mind, and emotions).
Anatolian belly dance is an ancient dance form as old as human history itself. It is a ritual where the rhythm becomes one with the body, and emotions are expressed and cleansed through dance. While it is often viewed as a performance art in popular culture, its essence lies in deepening our inner tranquility and connection to the earth.
Dancing with our belly, welcoming its life energy, is a magical journey into our inner world. Belly dance is also a sustainable, accessible, and joyful method for physical health. It supports spinal health and helps maintain the youthfulness of our body. I offer this dance with a multidisciplinary vision to empower everyone, regardless of gender, to become a guide for their own body.

The first month focuses on gently connecting with the belly and spine, along with exploring wave techniques. Classes alternate between improvisation and technical training for balance.

This month introduces ways to release into the ground rather than carrying the body with tension. Participants begin exploring the Element Series with the water element.

The third month focuses on aligning and strengthening the body. Lessons explore how to form connections within the body and introduce the qualities of the earth element.

Transitioning to the air element, this month explores lightness in movement, the use of arms, and the integration of veils into belly dance. These classes are faster-paced and more dynamic compared to previous months.

The fifth month focuses on the fire element. Techniques include belly vibrations, body tremors, explosive movements, and sustained flow. This module emphasizes merging gentleness with personal empowerment.

In the final module, all learned elements are detailed into building structures, choreography skills, and ways to find joy in dance while staying connected to the body. The infinite possibilities of belly movement are revisited.
