About This Workshop
"Your hands," it says, "you are entirely in your hands." This quote from a book titled Antigone reminds us of a truth about our bodies: Our hands reflect our emotions, sensations, feelings, desires, and longings. Today, as our ways of using our hands change, we witness a diminishing capacity to feel the touch of our fingers, palms, and the people or objects we come into contact with. I’ve especially noticed how our thumbs are evolving day by day. That’s why the "Hands and Stories" workshop aims to return freedom of movement and a sense of feeling to our hands, inviting them to speak as storytellers once more. In this workshop, we’ll explore the performative language of hands, unlocking creativity and expression in a way that nourishes our imagination.
Participants are invited to wear comfortable clothes that don't restrict movement.
You can access the video recording of the 90-minute workshop through your panel for 45 days.
